THE surgical treatment of Dupuytren's contracture has a high subsequent incidence of fresh disease with or without digital contracture. With the increased interest in limited fasciectomy this has assumed a greater importance. This communication is concerned only with the development of fresh disease and the frequency of secondary digital contracture after radical fasciectomy. Between 1951 and 1962 out of a total of 183 fasciectomies in 149 patients it has been possible to review 153 hands in 122 patients. During the earlier part of this
